About the Journal

The Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (JKEAI) welcomes papers on broad aspects of AI that represent advances in a whole range of fields including, but not limited to, Knowledge Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. The scope of Knowledge Engineering including machine learning, differential privacy, and analytics-based optimization is within the scope of Data Science, provided the focus is on how data acts as input fuel for algorithms, test sets for algorithms, validation sets for algorithms (performance metrics), and real world output (classification, diagnosis, decision, prediction, optimization) of the algorithm. The scope of Artificial Intelligence includes automated reasoning and inference, case-based reasoning, common sense reasoning, computer vision, processing constraints, ethical AI, heuristic search, knowledge representation, machine learning, multi-agent systems, natural language processing, planning and action, and reasoning under uncertainty. The journal reports on the results achieved in addition to proposals for new ways of looking at AI issues, both of which should include demonstrations of value and effectiveness.
